Affiliate Disclosure
ChooseMeals is reader-supported and free to use. This page explains how we make money and how we keep it from influencing what we publish. We want this to be clear because being upfront about it is both the right thing to do and required of us by the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC).
We earn commissions on some links
Some of the outbound links to brands on this site are affiliate links. If you click one and sign up for a service, the brand may pay us a commission. This comes at no extra cost to you, and the price you pay is the same as if you had gone to the brand directly. Under the FTC’s endorsement guidelines, that commission is a “material connection,” and this page is our disclosure of it.
Commissions never affect our scores or rankings
We deliberately keep money and editorial judgment in separate lanes:
- Our editorial score (“Our Score”) is set by a published methodology applied to verifiable data. It is not for sale and cannot be bought, raised, or influenced by any brand or commission.
- Every brand is listed and linked whether or not it has an affiliate program with us, and regardless of its score.
- Commissions do not affect our scores, our rankings, or which brands we include.
Sponsored placements are labeled
If we ever run a paid or sponsored placement, it will be clearly labeled “Sponsored” and kept visually separate from our editorial rankings. A paid placement never buys a better score. If money can move where something appears, we will say so on the spot.
Third-party ratings
Where we cite a third-party rating or data point, we treat it as one input and link out to the original source rather than presenting it as our own opinion.
